Being a first time parent is hard. You want to make sure that your baby has a healthy growth rate. Along with a million other things you are worrying about. If your baby is breastfed, listed below are the average weight your baby should be according to your baby's age.  As your baby grows it is normal for the growth rate to slow down.


When your baby is 0-4 months, your baby should be growing 5-7 ounces per week


When your baby is 4-6 months, your baby should grow 4-5 ounces per week


When your baby is 6-12 months, your baby should grow 2-4 ounces per week


The average breastfed baby doubles its weight by 3-4 months. When your baby hits 12 months your baby should triple its birth weight.
